Nikko von Weimar is a wonderful 4 year old German Shepherd.  When this handsome boy’s owner passed away, Nikko wound up at the rescue.  Having lost both his owner and his home at one time, sad Nikko at first howled in grief in his cage at the kennel  We have been told that he is house-trained, crate-trained and good with cats.  Our kennel techs tell us that Nikko loves his walks – he is an explorer who is interested in all of his surroundings.  Mid-energy Nikko would make a great companion dog because he loves being with his people, either accompanying you in the car or vegging out in front of the TV with you during football season.  Nikko entered our canine play yard calmly but stiffly, and eventually started vocalizing.  He seems interested in playing and gets along with some, but not all, dogs.  Nikko thrived on being a companion dog for his previous owner and hopes for another home who needs a friend like him.
